Java Stack Config. in SMSY

Former Member

Dear All,

We're in the process of upgrading Java Stack of Solution Manager from SP15 to EHP1. The point is my ABAP Stack and Kernel is already EHP1. Now I need to upgrade Java Stack.

The problem is: I'm unable to understand how to configure the same in SMSY so I can download file for the same in MOPZ.

The Fields are:

Fully Qualified Host Name

IP Address

Solution Manager->Router-> Server

Host->Router->Solution Manager

Manufacturer

Hardware

Now I Know the first two, but I'm clueless about the rest of the fields. Please help.

I've already gone thru a lot of documentation online, but nothing is mentioning it clearly.

Maybe it is too stupid a question. Please help.

Regards,

Jas

Hi,

These seem to be detail for the respective server.

As per my experience, these remaining fields are not mandatory for generating the stack via MOPZ. You should be able to proceed without giving this information.

Dear Srinivas,

Thanks for your quick response!

You may be right. But in MOPZ, when I proceed to select files; it gives me the following warning:

Warning: No SLM configured in system - SOL

and error:

Error: Error during call of SAP back end system (see long text)

Can you give me an idea why this might be happening?

Hi,

This is not the error because of As Java in solman. Check whether SAPOSS RFC is working fine or not and also check s-user should be assigned to your user.

You can ignore the warning for No SLM configured.

Thanks

Hi!

I've checked both:

RFC working fine and S-User has been assigned to my id.

I can ignore the warning; but what should I do about the error:

Error during call of SAP back end system (see long text)

One more thing:

I went through t-code:

SOLUTION_MANAGER->goto->RFC COnnection Error

It was blank screen for a minute and then I got the following error:

500 Connection timed out

-

Error: -5

Version: 7000

Component: ICM

Date/Time: Tue Oct 04 11:37:41 2011

Module: icxxthr.c

Error Tag: {-}

Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 60s

Hi,

Could you also check the long text/description of the error message? It should mention the RFC having the problem.

It could be the SAP-OSS connection also. Perform a connection test as well as authorization test.

Hi!

I checked the long text, and based on that checked my connections, which are fine:

I'll just paste the long text for your convenience:

Message Number: SOLMAN_SAP_BACKEND005

Diagnosis

Error calling SAP backend system: Error when opening an RFC connectionSAP-OSS via RFC destination

Procedure

Check the configuration of your connection to SAP in the Implementation Guide (IMG).

Use note 320991 to analyze RFC error codes.

Note 982045 contains information about repairing the RFC destination SAP-OSS. If "Destination blocked: too many failed connections due to wrong user/password" is output, release the connection again for use in the Solution Manager, after repairing it, with "Goto -> RFC Connection Error", in the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.

Hi,

So the RFC SAP-OSS is faulty. You would need to check why the Time out issue is occuring.

Is the SAP Router functioning properly while conencting to the OSS system?
