Dear Experts,

I am working for a cement Industry. Let me explain the production procedure in SAP that we follow in our company.

Every month we create Process orders for Semi Finished and Finished Material.

Ex: PO1 for SFG 1000 TO

PO2 for FG 1000 TO

The raw materials used in PO1 SFG = 1250 TO RM1 + 300 TO RM2 + 250 TO RM3

The raw materials used in PO2 FG = 1250 TO SFG + 200 TO RM4 + 300 TO RM5 + 250 TO RM6

Every day we enter the Goods Consumption and Production Data from the reading from CCR (Manually from Log Sheet).

Our Weigh Meters are having a 5-7 % error in reading. i.e If as per system we enter 1000 TO as goods issued for consumption the actual material issued will be 950 TO.

By the end of the month all the correction factors will be taken.

scenario 1: PO1 for 1000 TO SFG we consume 1250 TO RM1 + 300 TO RM2 + 250 TO RM3

In actual the real material movement will be

950 TO SFG = 1200 TO RM1 + 200 TO RM2 + 150 TO RM3

scenario 2: PO1 for 1000 TO SFG we consume 1250 TO RM1 + 300 TO RM2 + 250 TO RM3

In actual the real material movement will be

950 TO SFG = 1250 TO RM1 + 400 TO RM2 + 300 TO RM3

For adjusting the material quantity we do the following adjustments

Scenario 1 : Material is Less Consumed and Produced as per System

For adjusting we either cancel the process order or adjust the ratio of materials in the PO1

If the Stock of Raw materials is less in the system than actual count we create a process order with all the raw materials (Which is having less count) with 0 output. so that the consumption will be tallied.

Similarly for FG also.

I would like to know whether the process that we following are correct. Please Guide.

Also let me know the correct procedure for adjusting the quantity diff by the end of the month.

Thanks

Yes you are correct.

I have created a PO for 1000 TO FG for which i require 1250 TO RM1.

IN actual the FG produced is 950 TO and Raw material consumed is 1200 TO.

Ie System will show excess of 50 TO of FG in stock and will show 50 TO more consumption of RM1.

This Scenario say if for one day and for 30 days the extra FG stock in system will be 30 * 50 = 1500 TO.

I need to show the correct Production and Consumption figures . Please help.

Thanks

Hi,

This can be very well handled by physical inventory process. If you have MM consultant over there, he could help you easily over this issue.

Anyway, please refer the below SAP help link to learn about Physical Inventory process

Hi,

First of all, how are you calculating/ finding out the actual quantity of each material?

I tried to understand your scenario. As per the system, you have produced 1000 TO of FG and consumed say for example RM1 - 1250 TO. But actually you have only 950 TO of FG and consumed 1200 TO of RM1. So, you have 50 TO of RM1 in physical actual stock. This Stock, you want to be consumed by some element. But as per the system, you have already consumed 1250 TO and produced 1000 TO(posting done). Why do you want to post it again?

Could you please correct me if I misunderstood something?
