use of PRT

Hi Gurus,

I am in learning stage of PM,It would be great if any helps me in answering these questions

what is the us of PRT's in PM?

Can we add custom fields in maintenance task lists?

What are the enhancements that can be done in PM?just an example to get an idea

Dear,

Regrading PRT use, for Eg: The production planner creates production orders for tool production manually. He then releases the production orders created on the release date. Material availability is checked for tool components, with order release if sufficient components are available. Production orders with missing parts are usually not released by the production planner. However, in exceptional cases, the production planner can also send orders with missing parts to production

Process Flow

The scenario includes the following steps:

Tool production using MTS (Makeu2013tou2013stock) production order processing

Material requirements planning for the components used

Material staging for tool components

Serial number for tool product

Equipment maintenance for tool product

Optional enhancement: Batch management for tool product

Hi Sreekanth,

As indicated by the name itself PRT or Production resource tools are movable Operationg resources that are required to perform an activity and can be used repeatedly. These could be documents, engineering drawings, jigs and fixtures, and

measurement instruments.

In PM we use PRT as a material required to perfrom any Maintenance Task. We can also update the attached reading of measuring point /Counter using PRT assignment to Order.

Hi,

1 PM Enhacements :-http://pjatkin.users.btopenworld.com/documents/PMCSUserExits.pdf

Ex :-a) If u want to do some validations at the time of releasing the Maintenance Order then u can use User exit :- IWO10002 which gets activated when u click the release flag of Maintenance Order

b) Similarly if u want to validations at the the time of saving an Order u can use user exit :-IWO10009

c) Similarly if u want to make sure than Malfunction end date of Notification is entered mandatorly then u can use User exit IW010004 which gets activated at the time of TECO ..

2. U can add fields in Tasklists via field key option ..

3. In Plant Maintenance u can assign PRTs to Tasklists, Maintenance Order operation .. , in addition u can create a usgae counter for PRTs for automatic updation from PP Confirmation http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/PSPRT/PSPRT.pdf
