Hello,
Vanilla PI has no native SFTP capability hence the need to purchase a third-party SFTP adapter. Now as to when do we use it, it really depends on the requirements of the customer.

First you need to purchase SFTP adapter from third party vendors e.g Seeburger, AEDAPTIVE, etc
