Forecast of SAP diskspace

Hello Guys,

One my client would like to forecast the Diskspace

" SAP disk Space forecast for the next 6, 12 and 18 months."

OS is : Windows NT.

Database system : MSSQL , Release 9.00.3042#

Could you please let me know how we can do this.

Can we do this from SAP if yes then how?

Can we can do this from OS level if yes then how?

Just as additional info: If you upgrade to SQL Server 2008 R2 (10.50) you can enable page compression and save up to 60 % space.

Hello,

I think it depends on Sizing, Database Growth (for e.g. per week) and if Client is going for some major changes in the landscape which may require more hardware.

I would say start with Database Growth analysis.
