What is needed to use PI

Hi guys,

what is needed to use SAP PI for communication between my SAP systems (e.g. ECC 6.0, Bank Analyzer). Is PI an independent SAP System or is it just a Add-On which I have to install on my different SAP Systems?

Hi,

you need to install SAP PI in a server and then configure the necessary post configuration steps in order to connect to your ECC and other server to communicate.

Yes it would be recommended to implement such a system landscape

yes its highly recomended, some clients use Dev system as a testing system too..
