Solmanup Taking hours to complete preprocessing phase MAIN_SHDCRE/DIFFEXPDO

Hi All,

We are doing our Solution manager upgrade from 7.01 to 7.1 SPS3. Currently SOLMANUP program is stuck in preprocessing phase MAIN_SHDCRE/DIFFECPDOCU. IT is running in this phase since 25th now. In between we stopped and tried SAP recommendation of using later 7.2 kernel, but no success so far. It is continuously updating abap/tmp/SAPECCD702.SID file for export phase, under upgrade directory.

Anyone here experienced similar situation during upgrade preprocessing. Appreciate valuable suggestions.

Is there any work around for this..? Solution manager upgrade is running for 2 days in phase MAIN_SHDCRE/DIFFEXPDO for me..

Vladimir Demakov wrote me via email, that he checked what table is read, and collected oracle statistics for that table,

and then phase finished in 15 minutes.

I could not find that table, and had just to wait. It finished in the end, ~1 day.

Same problem here.

Phase MAIN_SHDCRE/DIFFEXPDOCU is running several hours already without any database activity,

except one CPU 100% consumption by R3trans process.

Please, share your experience.

May be it is normal and we just should wait?

Did you finished this phase? How long it lasts finaly?

I have the same problem.
