billing output ale

Hello guru's

I have to configure billing output via ale to an email.

Do I need to maintain two condition records?

One for email and one for idoc, please suggest.

Hello raghu,

My requirement is I have to create interface where in billing ouput shud hit vistex system for further processing of rebates and the client wants it through ale.

Now I have confusion whether to create two condition record for email as well as idoc?

And also create the idoc partner profile and port?

Hi Aman,

Your client has an ALE setup and hence the billing data should be sent via ALE.

To enable this, create a partner profile for VISTEX as a logical system and INVOIC message type.

Now, create an output type with A as your transmission medium and do the required setup for sending an IDoc..

There is no need to setup anything for mail.

btw, as a rule of this forum..DO NOT OFFER for points ... this points system is just a rewarding or appreciation, I or anybody for that matter don't get anything out of the points. Pls refrain from such statements.

They don't have the ale setup. I have to design the method for them.

Do I create the complete idoc setup with partner profile, rfc, port and everything.

yes you'll have to setup.. in coordination with your XI/PI consultant or maybe ABAP consultant.

This has to be for specialty customers, so we control output for them in the communication tab?

for the output type, maintain access 0005 which has the key as customer--maintain cond records accordingly.
