Software Update Manager Problem

Hello,

I want to install EHP1 on a Netweaver PI 7.1 with the Software Update Manager.

After a while the connection to the SUM breaks on step 4.5 (Preprocessing).

After reconnect to the SUM, it hangs on the message "Waiting for

synchronization event PREUPTIME=FINISHED Status Waiting". The Java tab

shows the message "Get ABAP shadow number" and also hangs. A restart of

the hole SAP system incl. shadow system and Windows servcies has no

effect.

Do you have any suggestions ?

Hello,

in the meantime, the SUM Installation Process

went on and stops unfortunally with Step 4.6 (Execution), with

"Deploy software components step". Error Message:

Could not update components. Deployment of queue Queue_2011.09.26 at

14:37:35 completed with error Could not connect to Deploy Controller.

Make sure that AS Java and Deploy Controller service are running.

com.sap.engine.services.dc.api.ConnectionException: [ERROR CODE

DPL.DCAPI.1144] Could not establish connection to AS Java on [wdf-

rt13:50304]. No alive connection. Check state of the server. Check if

the host and port specified are correct and AS Java is up and running.

javax.naming.NamingException: Exception during getInitialContext

operation. Cannot establish connection to the remote server. [Root

exception is

com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException:

Exception in creating new RemoteLoginContext instance.]

com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException:

Exception in creating new RemoteLoginContext instance.

com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: No alive connection.

Check state of the server

the SAPmmc shows me in the Process List: jstart.EXE - Some processes

running - Yellow. The AS Ajva Process Table shows for "server0" -

Exitcode -1501 (Some of the managers fails to start) .

Could anybody please help me.

I`m using version:

"Software Update Manager Version: 1.0 Support Package Version: 2 Patch Level: 11"
