Hi,
Quick question:
LE - WM - Activities - Confirmation - Difference Indicators
Field Update TR
Option blank has the following description: Update TR depending on destination storage bin
Do you have any idea what's making the difference between storage bins? What's the rule? Where can I set it up?
Best Regards,
André Costa
Hi Andre,
when the Difference indicator is configured to 'BLANK' (Update TR depending on destination storage bin) , the system sets the TR to Processed, even if the TR quantity is not fully supplied(when TO is confirmed with difference). whereas with indicator '2' (update TR) , the TR stays open if the actaul quantity is less than the target quantity.
for example, if you have a TO for a TR with qty of 10, & if you confirm the TO with a difference of 2, here's how the TR is updated depending on your difference indicator configuration :
DIff Ind with Update TR field as 'BLANK'
Targert Qty in the TR : 10
Open Quantity: 0
TR status : Processed
-
DIff Ind with Update TR field as '2'
Targert Qty in the TR : 10
Open Quantity: 2
TR status : Not Processed (Open)
hope this clarifies your question.
Cheers

I feel you are right in that there is no rule set at the destination storage bin to control how the update TR behaves.
If you refer to the note 570859 you will get some idea how the "Space" is suppose to behave in contrast to indicator 2. Essentially "space" is used implicitly by SAP to confirm without difference.
This is what the note has to say
"The system must also include indicator 'Update TR' during a confirmation without difference.
The following logic is used in this case:
During a confirmation without difference the system implicitly uses the value of 'Update TR' that is assigned to difference indicator SPACE.
If there is no difference indicator SPACE, the system uses the difference indicator of the first confirmation step and thus its value of 'Update TR'."

Hi,
WHen you confirm the transfer order, you enter the differences in the destination storage bin how much is the difference in LT12 transaction. So there is no other setting required. You jus need to enter the differences in LT12 and accordingly
the quanitity willget updated into the TR.
kind regards,
Ramana
