Hi,
Our customer uses both SNP and PP/DS. They want the first 12 weeks to be planned entirely by PP/DS, in terms of production. However, they want to run real-time deployment in the first 2 weeks, part of which is an SNP Heuristic, that plans SNP planned orders at factory level.
Could we eliminate creating Planned Production orders during real-time deployment anyhow?
Thanks,
Ádá
Hi,
How did you control the system to 'Plan the first 12 weeks only by PP/DS' ?
I wonder whether you're unsing 'SNP Prodution Horizon' and 'SNP Stock Transfer Horizon' to control the SNP heuristic to not to plan any orders in this horizon. These settings shoule also effective in the heuristic process in real-time deployment.
Best Regards,
Ada

Is it absolutely required to run real-time deployment? The only real difference between real-time deployment and "refer to last SNP run" functionality is that one re-runs the Heuristic at the source destination and the other does not.
If you needed the Heuristic to run on the time period subsequent to the first twelve weeks, you could run in separately in the background as a prerequisite job to your deployment job (be it weekly, nightly, or what have you).
