abap stack and java stack

Hello,

I want to know how abap and java stack are integrated in SAP PI .

What are the components coming under java stack in SAP PI.

What are the components coming under abap stack in SAP PI.

ABAP Stack has IE and BPE. Basically this stack takes care major tasks like Pipeline Processing,BPM processing etc. This is the Integration Server and supports multiple administrative tasks and act as core component. Java Stack contains adapter engine which has almost all adapters. It supports frontend administrative tasks, SLD, Runtime WorkBench and more. This is just summary. Refer the sap PI integration document for complete details. Both are integrated too.
