PO backend error - Enter Asset for mixed product type PO

Hi Experts,

We are in SRM 5 Ext Classic with ECC6 backend

A user has created 2 Shopping Carts with 3 lines via Describe requirement. In both SC's the 1st and 3rd line have productype 'Goods', the 2nd line has product type 'Service'.

In the account assignment asset is used for all 3 lines and same asset no is used for all 3 lines. After last approval Po si created in SRM but NOT replicated to ECC backend

the RZ20 / BBPWEBMONITOR shows for this PO

Error Message

- No instance of object type PurchaseOrder has been created. External reference:

- Purchase order item 00003 still contains faulty account assignments

- Enter Asset

in BBP_POC - Check option it gives "This PO has backend errors"

If we check line 3 it looks to have a valid account assignment, as stated the same asset no is also used in lines 1 and 2 .

It looks like the 'service' type is causing some problems

Any help / suggestions where to search for cause would be appreciated

found SAP Note 1465073 - Accounting data not adopted by BAPI.

This describes our error, so is a coding error
