Kernel upgrade Issue

Dear All

We have installed the new SAP system Nw7 EHP1, we are trying the update the latest kernel 150 in the disturbed system. In this we have updated the database and the central instance after that at the time of starting the sap instance its shows the in the red color say that SAPCPE.exe executable copy could not be started.

For this we have copied the new kernel in the database instance (drive letter):\usr\sap\SID\sys\exe\uc\NTAMD64\,

The central instance (drive letter):\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\exe copied but the SAP services are not starting in Windows 2008 server.

Os Windows 2008 server Enterprise x64 bit

Sap Version Net weaver 7.01 EHP1

Kindly guide us

Hello,

After applying the MS patch note, normally we don't need Server reboot. But you can give it a try if possible.

You may have to use vcredist_x64.msi which should be in your newly uncompressed kernel.
