Material description (VBAP-ARKTX) in SA not updated after language change

Dear Gurus,

we changed customer language from DE to EN. However in existing sched. agreements material description still stays in DE language. How can we update in SA description into EN language?

Hi Pavel, I agree with the comment above..either re-create your Scheduling Agreements..or carry out a mass update of all the transaction data already created using MASS or other options.

Hi Pavel,

the only way to realize your request is to use the userexits or BadI's in the sales order processing.

The text is copie from the table MAKT, when you create the item line - and not updated anymore.

In my opionion SAP planed this text just as a information for your user.

Hello,

once the Scheduling Agreement is created, the material descriptions in the existing documents are not updated: as a matter of fact, the systems, during the creation phase gets the material description, according to defined language, from the material master. But after that the "link is broken": actually when you create a Sales document, you can replace the description coming form the material master with a specific description, that will apply only to that document and its subsequent flow.

So to change the description on all the exixting documents you should think to carry out a mass update.
