Problems installing SAP NetWeaver 7.0

Hello,

if my question has already been answerd somewhere else or this is not the correct place to ask for this I would be thankful for a direct link.

What's my problem:

During installation of

NWABAPTRIAL70206_64 - Central System

during the phase

"Import MaxDB statistics"

I get the following error message:

I am not sure if Windows 7 is supported but could you check some logs in sapinst_instdir and paste here ?

Looks like the file C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\NW702\AS-ABAP\ADA\CENTRAL\import_statistics.log creation is a problem.

Check in the directory if this file has been created. Check the permissions for this directory. Maybe write authorizations are missing. Also disable UAC for Windows 7. Seems to help.

I checked my settings, refreshed this site, logged off and on, restarted my browser,... - no change.

I'm sorry, it didn't worked.

I removed any protections from the folder, deactivated UAC and gave everyone on my computer all permissions (for this folder).

No changes regarding the error message

I will install an english version of Windows 7 Professional and retry installation. The installation routine moaned my language settings (german) during the first steps of installation. So I hope maybe this helps.

This time, the installation routine stops during phase 20 of 24 with the same error message.

-What maybe means some kind of progress to my problem: in my first attempt it stopped during phase 19 of 20.

Phase 20 is "Install central Instance"

Meanwhile, I reached phase 21 "Start Instance" through loggin in with one of the users the installation programm created.

Last status in the line at the bottom of the window:

"Starting NSP/DVEBMGSOO [ABAO: UNKNOWN]. Elapsed time: <time>"

with <time> counting up up to 10:00minutes, after that I get the following error message:

"An error occured while Processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > Max.DB:ABAP processes of instance NSP/DVEBMGSOO [ABAP UNKNOWN] did not start after 10:10 minutes Giving up).

You can now:

- Choose Retry to repeat current step (doesn't work)

- Choose Log FIldes to get more information about the error

- Stop the option and continue with it later"

Choosing "stop" shuts down the programm

I will post the last 100 lines of the log file in an additional post after this one.

Could you also check the dev_disp and dev_w0 traces under ..\usr\sap\<SID>\work folder?
