Error while installing Ehp1 CE 7.1

Hi Gurus,

am getting below error while installating EHP CE 7.1 in windows machine.

With me a Kernel-Update helped in this issue.

Download the latest Kernels SAPEXE.SAR SAPEXEDB.SAR, etc...
Deploy not only in /sapmnt/<SID> but also in /usr/sap/<SID>/<J01>/exe as the message says:

Process call "/usr/sap/<SID>/<J01>/exe/jstart .... exits with error code 8

The sapcpe-copyprocess at startsap did not help in the next deploying step.

jstart_bootsstrap_J01.log was empty with me also.
now completed successfully.

On DB2 z/OS we solevd this issue..

When installing the new NW 7.3 you have to keep an eye on DB2 statistics, if they are "not okay" AS Java will not start properly or deployment will take very long (>1 day),.

It's some Os related issue, Os team did something..then it went fine.

what exactly did your OS Team do ? We are facing the same problem during a 7.3 NW Portal Installation
