Hi guys,
Suddenly no PORTS are working... No files in any of the READY folders are picked by ports, I was working earlier suddenly it has stopped even the standard ports for product group, Currencies, etc are not working..
Please let me know how do I check it and where?? MDIS log does not give any details on this.
Regards,
Prabhu

Check the Log folder present at the same level as Ready & Exception folder.
You can also check the Import server logs
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm71/helpdata/en/49/bcad6ac9e359cce10000000a42189c/content.htm
via sap mdm console -
SAP MDM Servers -> Auxiliary Servers -> Import Server -> Logs
Read - How to fix exceptions from - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/c4/ef067c42dc44eaa3688932b0927215/frameset.htm

Hi Deep,
In the Default Import Actions tab, I have the following,
Active -
Match Level--
Default Import Action
499 of 499 None None Create
501 of 501 Single Exact Replace
0 of 0 Mulitiple Exact Replace
Then I get the Import error. So I chnage as below
Active -
Match Level--
Default Import Action
499 of 499 None None Create
501 of 501 Single Exact Skip
0 of 0 Mulitiple Exact Skip
Now it works fine, could you please tell me what is
Match Level--
Default Import Action???
Thanks
Prabhu
Prabhu -
The match level is

1. None - The source record matches no destination records.
2. Single - The source record matches exactly one destination record.
3. Multiple - The source record matches more than one destination
Match type is
For each source record, the overall match type is based on
1. the combination of match types for each individual matching destination record; where
2. the match type for each matching destination record is based on the combination of value matches for each individual matching field or field combination.

1. Exact- All the individual value matches are Equal.
2. Partial - At least one value match is Equal and at least one Undefined; no value matches are Not Equal.
3. Conflict - At least one value match is Equal and at least one value match is Not Equal.
For Default Import action
The various import actions that you can apply to source and destination records
SKIP - Skip this source record during import processing.
Create - Create a new destination record based on this source record.
Update (Null fields only) - Update just the NULL fields of the matching existing destination record(s) based on this source record
Update (All Mapped Fields) - Update the matching existing destination record(s) with all of the mapped fields of this source record
Replace -Replace the matching existing destination record(s) by first deleting them and then creating a new destination record based on this source record

Hi Prabhu,
First of all you need to check the port is automatic or not i the MDM Console,
also check the port status had data or, whether the port is blocked on exception.
Secondly you need to check whether the import server is working or not
this can be done using the auxiliary server in mdm 7.1 if you are using older version you need to check the services in control panel, also check the import logs
Thirdly check with your basis guy for the mdis.ini file for the correct path has been maintained in the property.

Abhishek

First thing, Restart your MDM Import Server.
Even if it doesnt picks the file then paste the import log. Either your repository information in MDIS.ini is modified or the user with which Import Server is connecting to MDM server has been modified. So try to update the password via MDM Console for Auxillary server --> MDM Import Server.
Thanks,
Shambhu.

Hi Prabhu,
Seems to me MDIS is not working for your repository or is down.
Please go to auxillary server, mount the import server.
Once you have done so,you can see a log below the import server.
On clicking on the time at Header level, you can see the details at the pane below.
Please note that and revert.
Thanks,
Ravi

Hey Prabhu -
In Import Process the import Server will pick up the file from this directory based on the specifc interval you specify in mdis.ini file(This can be found in Import Server installation directory).
Also check the log folder and status folder.
Log Folder will give you ->Log information for that process
Status Folder will give you ->Status of process will be kept in this folder.
also check the key mapping and port properties in console and then try restart your MDIS server .
I am assuming here that in cosole it is showing you "has data" in status.
hope it helps
thx
Deep
