Hi Folks,
Where can we find statistics of Business Objects servers,I want to know at what time these servers were getting restarted every time/day.Also l would like to know the procedure how can we check this in BO.
Thanks.
If you are interested in SIA restart time, you can check the log files for sia in <BO Installation Dir>\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Logging directory. Every time sia is restarted, one log file is created.
If you want the restart time of individual services, you need to enable trace for those services.
You can check SAP Note 1274825 - How to configure server tracing using the BO_trace.ini file in XI3.1

Hello,
If the idea is just to check the statistics of your server about start/stop/re-start etc. you can: -
1) Check event viewer in case of Windows.
2) Check system logs in case of Unix. (take the help from UNIX admin)
Now every time a server re-starts it gets a new PID (process ID) so that will help you out.
I would only recommend to apply logs in your machine if you observe some failure as a reason for server re-start.
Because logs will also be another activity which consume your system resources.
Thanks,
Vivek
