I have a doubt. we can make the alv report by using events. without using events also we can do this, so what is the purpose of these events use... can u explain...

AND

How many types we can create the alv reports with out using any function modules...

Events in reports helpful to display

1) Page Title

2) Individual Page Header

3) Sub Totals in each Page

4) Grand Total in end of Page

5) Footer Information

We can write code without function modules. but it will take longer time.

Types of reports

1) Classical Reports

2) Interactive Reports

we can display reports in two formats.

1) List Display

2) Grid Display.

Hi Praveen,

Events are used to trigger the exact code in exact requirement. We use events to perform any specific taks to get any specified output in a ordered or organised manner.

These events are been called by FM in ALV reports.

We can also write the ALV reports without Events..
