No selection option of Enhancement package.

Hi,

We are using solution manager 7 ehp1,

We need to generate Stack file to upgrade Development Server from EHP4 to EHP5.

in the MPOZ, i am not getting the option to Select Enhancement Package.

Please see the steps below which i followed

-> Create NEw Maintenance Transaction

-> product Version, SAP ERP6.0 (only one option available)

-> Selected Development Server SID - Continue

->Calculate Files Automatically

-> Continue

->In the SELECT STACK screen i see one dropdown button but it is empty and beside one STACK DETAILS button , but it does not do anything.

Please suggest, am i missing some patchs ,

Hi,

Recheck if the system is regsitered as SAP ERP 6.0 system in SMSY.

Also apply the collective note for your Solution Manager SP Stack.

Hello,

Just wanted to make sure, Since you are going from EhP4 to EhP5 so you need to register current satellite systems as SAP EHp4 systems (not as ERP 6.0 I think)

Product - SAP ERP Enhancement package

Product version - ABAP Technology for EhP4 (for abap systems)

And for MOpz related problems, please make sure we apply all the mopz correction/update notes.

Logically you are right, but as we know SAP is unpredictable

I was earlier with SAP Labs and had validated the MOPZ for ERP EhP application. We too selected the most current EhP version for the ERP system as Product Verision. MOPZ just did not pick up the EhP Installation option. After checking with development colleagues - there was a note specifically suggesting to maintain SAP ERP 6.0 as product version even though the ERP system is at EhPx level. It seems the SAP EhP EhPx product version is not considered as a 'base' release and hence MOPZ does not detect the EhP Installation for this.

Ahh this is strange Srikishan, thanks for the info !

Actually in one of our supported landscape we recently 'Re-configured' all the satellite systems from '4.7 R/3' to 'EhP4' after a release upgrade from 4.7 to ECC6 EhP4.

Anyways, I will review our other clients as well.
