Installing SMB 4.6D

Hi,

I recently purchased ABAP objects and am trying to install the SAP Mini Basis 4.6D on the included CDs. I can not get it to install beyond 88%. I listed the errors below. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks this fixed part of the problem. I also had to remove the old failed installation from my registry file. I was able to get the installation to 100%.

Now I am getting an error in SE80 that the page cannot be displayed. I think I may have found a fix in the forums. According to what I read it is a security issue related to a Microsoft security patch and downloading the newer version of the GUI will fix it. I'll let you know if it works.

I finally fixed the other problem in SE80. I uninstalled the original MBS. Removed everything from the registry and any stray files. I went to the German SAP Press site and went to the downloads sections and downloaded the updated gui. I followed the install on the CDs until the front end setup. After that I instlled the new GUI I downloaded instead of the one on the CD.
