Provider for SQLDMO is not installed properly.

Hi;

In a 4.6C system, we have migrated SAP from sql 2000 to sql 29-005.

We have installed a new sql 2005 on a new machine, and then attahched the data files from sql 2000.

According to note Note 600027 - Installing the Corrected MS SQL Server Collation we are trying to run instcoll.exe.

Our situatin is case 1 in note 600027:

Database collation: SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_BIN

Target Server collation: SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_BIN2

a) In this case, attach the database.

b) Make sure that no user connects and uses this database.

c) Re-run InstColl.exe with the following command line:

InstColl -S<server> -D<database>

The special -D option allows you to convert only one database.

This should finish within a very short time (<3 minutes)

You can now use the SAP database in its new location.

When we try to run instcoll.exe, it gives an error: Provider for SQLDMO is not installed properly. NOTHING DONE!

Could you please advise us how we can solve the problem?

Best regards

Noyan Durna

Hi Noyan,

This SAP Note might help us here

Note 1106128 - SQLDMO component missing in SQL 2005 installation

Thanks

Hi;

I have applied the note.

But the system tells me Runtime error! R6034. An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

And then again Provider for SQLDMO is not installed properly.

I have installed vcredist_x64.exe ande vcredist_x86.exe. I have installed R3dllinst too.

Could you please advise me again?

Best regards

Hi Noyan,

I would ask you if can reboot the windows server once if possible. If still the problem doesn't get resolved, please create a customer message with SAP.

Thanks
