"external document number 41xxxxxxxx already assigned."

"PO header data still faulty"

Kinldy help me anyone to overcome from this issue.

Hi,

Please check the Number Ranges maintained in ERP. From the error message it seems there is a conflict in the number ranges for PO in the ERP system.

Check this and let me know if this solves.

Otherwise i will tell you how to debug this and get it resolved.

Hi Girish,

Thanks for ur quick response.

I have cross checked the number ranges in R/3 and SRM both are maintained correctly as test and production systems.

In R/3 external number range and internal number range defined in SRM for PO doc's.

So further where do i check.

Kindly advise me.

Hi Srinivas,

what you can try doing is, create a SC in saved status. Goto to tr SE37, open the FM BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER. Give in the saved SC number. You will get a debug option, on debugging you will be able to make out the place where this message is coming from.
