Trex7.1 with 4.6c as backend server and netweaver7.0( java stack) compat..

Hi All,

Has anyone implemented this scenario

TREX7.1 on windows server 2003/x64 64 bit or windows 2008/ x64 64bit having 4.6c as backend server and Netweaver7.0( java stack ) .

Replication of catalog from R/3 --> Trex7.1 and Netweaver7.0 java stack server would be accessing TREX for search related functions.

Any input will be useful on this as to decide what is the Trex version to be installed for 4.6c and Netweaver7.0 and if cannot why?

Hi,

In my opinion, this should run fine. Downward compatibility for TREX would not be a problem.

We had tried integration of 46C with TREX 7.1 without issues. Netweaver 7.0 Java is a newer version and works well with TREX 7.1.

Thanks for the valuable reply. What is the patch level on 4.6C it should be on and any plugins were installed for 4.6c? As the product replication needs to be done from the 4.6c and ecommerce5.0, any thing to refer to to know the minimum patch level on the 4.6c or can it be ignored?

Are there any modifications need to be performed on the Trex7.1 side interms of its scripts to connect to 4.6c?
