Not sure if the "invalid checksum" error is misleading. Seems I cannot connect to my DB. output of R3trans -d and trans.log is below.

Am I simply missing an environment variable? If so, how do I set "dbms_type"? Shouldn't this have been done in the previous steps when I installed Oracle 11g?

<p>

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks everyone!

That worked. Turns out there was an error in the profiles for IBM JAVA that was causing my .profile to not work. This caused errors in my installation.

Hello Ben,

Environment variable should be set for the users sidadm and orasid.

First try to check the SHELL assigned to sidadm and orasid, by command - echo $SHELL

Most probably it should be cshell, if yes then command to set the env variable is 'setenv'. Set it like this -

'setenv dbms_type ORA' (for oracle)

Thanks

That fixed one of the errors, but unfortunately I'm still receiving the following

sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

I have checked both my TNS names files and they are setup correctly. Not sure if I am missing another environment param?

Hello,

Try to verify this parameter as well. Set it's value as 'SID' in sap profile and in environment variables

Thanks
