GRC10 Activation of BC Sets

Hi,

As per GRC10 installation guide, a set of BC set for Risk Analysis require activation. GRAC_AC_RULESET* are the BC sets speciif to applicaiton areas. We are on ECC6 and also have separate SCM (APO) system.

We would like to know whether we need to activate all GRAC_AC_RULESET_SAP* rulesets or only GRAC_AC_RULESET_SAP_R3 + GRAC_AC_RULESET_SAP_APO .

Regards

Hemant

Hi Hemant,

You can only activate GRAC_AC_RULESET_SAP_R3 + GRAC_AC_RULESET_SAP_APO .

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your response.

We have 3-separate landscapes viz., SAP ECC, SAP ECC (Exclusive HR), SAP-SCM(APO)

To reconfirm We need to activate the follwoing BC Sets

GRAC_RA_RULESET_COMMON

GRAC_RA_RULESET_SAP_R3

GRAC_RA_RULESET_SAP_BASIS

GRAC_RA_RULESET_SAP_HR Is it not coverred in standard SAP R3 ruleset)

GRAC_RA_RULESET_SAP_NHR --- " ---

thanks & regards

Hi Hemant,

Common is the base.. and ofcourse HR is not a part of R3 anymore. If you have HR system as well, please go ahead and activate that too.

Hi All,

Got to ask you one question - for the Bc sets - Do we activate them in PRD system as well or do we juts transport them From Quality or Deveopment and never activate them in the PRD system.

Thanks.

Hi Raghu,

Thanks for your response. Does this mean the other SAP relevant basis sets are part of the SAP R3 and they are required only when we have secific SAP systems viz. SAP HR, SAP Basis and so on.

Hi Hemant,

The Basis relevant content is in the R3 BC set. You should always activate that to provide the base level content. This will provide your GRC system with the non-differentiated SAP content (e.g. Table maintenance, ABAP code management).

You can then activate the relevant "flavours" for the industry products or the SAP product set as applicable in your landscape (e.g. APO, SAP HR, CRM).
