Hi There,
we are facing a curious problem connecting SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI 4.0 against
BOBJ BI Platform 4.0.
Only one client PC running Crystal Reports can connect to the server (Win 7 (32bit)). All other
clients / computers do receive a message during connection sounding like this:
"At the moment you cannot connect to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. Please try it again later."
GERMAN: " Momentan ist keine Anmeldung bei SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise möglich.
Versuchen Sie es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt noch einmal."
We checked following:
- there are enough client licences on the server
- we tried using different usernames
- we can (!!) connect to the server using HTTP-Links (like ... /BOE/CMC and .../BOE/BI)
- we tried it on several clients using Win XP (32bit), Win 7 (64bit), Win 7 (32bit)
- Switches off all Windows Firewalls (all Clients and Servers)
- Checked Java-Versions
Still only one client can connect to the server without problems.
What did we wrong? Might there be a connection problem using java? Or a missing component?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Carsten
you should to edit your host file, it seems to be a DNS fail.

Hi together,
I've got exactly the same problem.
I can reach the server with my Client-Tools but not with Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0.
We donu2019t use Proxy. Is it generally possible to connect the Server without Proxy?
Kind regards,
Jürgen

Hi Carsten,
has your problem been resolved?
We are experiencing the same problem. Web Intelligence Rich Client works, Crystal 2011 works, BI Launch Pad works, but CR for Enterprise says that "Cannot connect to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise at this time. Please try again later."
Anyone has an answer here?
Thanks,
Nelson

Hi Nelson,
yes - we solved the problem. But it wasn't a BO or Crystal error.
As we are using a Proxy Connection to the internet, we had to set up a
exception in Internet Explorer for this particular BO server.
Open Internet Explorer --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Open Tab
Connections --> LAN Connection --> Proxy Servers --> Advanced.
In the field "Exceptions" enter your FQDN-Servername like
<servername>.<domain>.<tld>
After this we were done. Hopefully this solves your problem as well.
Kind Regards,
Carsten
