Solved: IDES ECC60 installation problems

I am having some problems installing IDES ECC60.

It is on X86 IA32 Win Oracle.

Brand new server. Installed Java 1.4.2.09.

Installed Oracle 10.2 successfully, pacthed it.

When running my SAPinst I select central system ABAP only. Didn't change the default parameters.

At the import ABAP step I have joibs that failed (not sure if that is related or not), but then after a while I get the following error:

you ahve to install the hotfix/patches from sap

10202_Patch1 and 10202_Patch2 for oracle database before you start the installation , apply the patches and restart the installation

Go to the C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\ERP\SYSTEM\SID\CENTRAL\AS and check for the failed packages which ends with <Packname.TSK>. Now open the failed package file and check for logs with err and replace the err logs with ok. Try restarting the sapinst with old option..

error: CJS-30022 Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 103.

solution: tablespace was full. extend the tablespace and retry installation.

I have the same problem during import ABAP proceduce.

I use the following step to solve the problem.

1. go to windows command mode.

2. set oracle_sid=<your oracle sid name>

3. sqlplus "/ as sysdba"

4. step 3 will input sql mode.

5. startup

6. re-start sapinst

hi guys i am also getting same error while installing ecc6.0 error is

Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 103.

but i installed with same s/w in 32bit board i didnt get any errors, but is there any problem with 64 bit board...

I can give you some pointers wrt 4.71 IDES installation with MSSql.

In data loading order screen, choose ‘Custom’ and in the next screen delete option ‘loadprocedure fast”.

This step helped me.

Just if anyone is still waiting for an update:

I've finished the installation after a few trials.

I had problems in the process of unpacking the ABAP Import dvd's I've downloaded from SAP. It was a bit misleading and I managed the volumes individually (instead of merging them all in a couple of DVD's.

As a result I had problems with duplicate keys since the links of volumes and installation dvd was incorrect.

By the way, I ran it for a fresh ECC60 installation, not IDES. I assume that was the same problem before.

The location of the directory on a windows installation is in a place like:

C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\ERP\SYSTEM\ADA\CENTRAL\AS

First review the latest file with the name "sapinst.#.log" where the # represent the sequence number of how many times you have started the install.

Look for the package that did not load. e.g.

Loading of 'SAPAPPL2_4' import package: ERROR
Import Monitor jobs: running 2, waiting 43, completed 26, failed 1, total 72.

Then go to the log file for that package (e.g. SAPAPPL2_4.log):

You can search for the first error that occurs; in my case this was usually the DB connection that failed:

DbSl Trace: EXECUTE on connection 0, rc=-10807 (Connection down: [4] connection broken                       )

(IMP) ERROR: DbSlEndModify failed
  rc = 99, table "SWWFBATEXT"
  (SQL error -10807)
  error message returned by DbSl:
Connection down: [4] connection broken                       
DbSl Trace: EXECUTE on connection 0, rc=-10821 (Session not connected)

This was just to confirm the error message.

Then go to the SAPAPPL2_4.tsk file to fix the log of the creation of the tables:

You will see something like:


T SPTH C ok
P SPTH~0 C err
D SPTH I err
I SPTH~SVF C err

The problem here is that most likely the T entry was not completed successful either. When you restart the install, it will assume the T(Table) was created correctly. Change the ok to err and restart the install. Before you start the install, make sure the database in running (use the services panel or install the maxdb database manager).

Gence I am a newby in this business infect this is my first real installation. I am however pleased to say i have jumped my huddle. The solution is that the installation export cd have similar objects or executables e.g. SAPSSEXC(If i may put it that way) are issuing OS commands that want resources in the DB that are held by others. What i did was i read the log per package it was giving ORACLE code like ORA 604 and the works. This lead me to shutdown the DB as it was already built at this stage. when i did that that's when how i jumped the huddle.

My submission are obviously subject to corrections.

I seem to be experiencing the same problems as most of you guys here. I am installing ECC60 with Oracle 10.2 on a windows box. Fist i tried to follow the installation guide and tried to patch the DB after I installed it and that did not work. My installation is both an ABAP and JAVA stack.

I'm also faced with the same problem that Chris has. I'm installing Netweaver 2004S for BI7 on a HPUX/Oracle 10g. During the last portion of the installs in the Import ABAP phase I also get 15 out of 18 and this error pops up:

I've re downloaded the packages and rebuilt them (unpacking). I've tried to reinstall it and stil lget erros.

I've tried using Java 1.4.2.12 but I still get the same errors.

Here is an extract from IMport monitor (the first package to fail):
