waiting too much at the "prepare to install minimal configuration" phase

hi,

i have been installing solution manager to the server but at the "prepare to install minimal configuration" phase, i have been waiting too much.

For example; i saw the "elapsed time" 1100 minutes then i supposed there might be a problem and i stopped the installation.

Is this time normal for this preparation?

Server = Windows 2008 64 bit x86 and database = db2

i looked the logs before but there logs files have writen the same things in a period. i guess the installation doesn't run.

my SDM server can't be started because i installed the jdk 1.4.2 to the server which was not supported any more. there is a solution for this. i am going to install sap jvm 4 which is suitable for my system. if i achive to start the SDM server, may be i solve my main problem.

Also, i am waiting to read the other possible solutions.

solved. it is all about regional setting at operating system level. i changed the setting.

Hello,

This would not be normal.

Have you reviewed the isntallation logs to see what it was doing?

There maybe additonal information in the various installation logs.

Please review them for mor einformation on the problem.
