Dear Experts,
In our system , for budget availability control , activation type 1 has been used for overall & release.
Although AVAC gets activated for WBS after budget release in the system, but we found that for few specific cases AVAC has not got activated after budget release. Hence system is allowing budget overshoot for those wbs.
Also it is found that all WBS where AVAC is not active belongs to one project only.
Although we can reconstruct the availability control ,but we are not able to find why AVAC did not get activated for those cases.
Kindly help us understand this behaviour.
Regards,
Vishal
Dear Vishal,
Have you been able to reproduce this problem or was it a one-off.
Generally, AVAC is only activated on those WBS where budget was allocated (CJ30) and released (CJ32). If no budget was allocated on the WBS then activation type 1 will not automatically activate AVAC. Please check if this is the case.
Do revert back if this doesn't resolve your problem.
Regards,
Ammar

Can you confirm the activation type in the budget profile being maintained (OPS9). It should be 1 if AVAC is activated automatically for your WBSEs.
Please ensure that this same budget profile is maintained in the subject project. Also ensure whether budget was distributed and released on the specific WBSEs for which AVAC did not get activated.

Ammar
