Extending Attachment screen

I'm wondering if anybody had success is adding extension definition (and attributes) for the document attachment screen in Sourcing (attachment.subordinate ID 361). There does not seem to be a value for this in the extended class name list.

Hi,

AttachmentSubBo inhernetly doesn't support extensions and hence you cannot extend this object type.

Thanks for the prompt response. If it's not possible to extend the attachment object. Is it possible to extend collection(DEFAULT_ATTACHMENTS) on the contract screen (master agreement screen). I think that collection extension were not possible in the past, but are they available in 7?

Hi Kyle,

Collections are not extendable as before & this would not become extendable. Also attempting to extend such a low level object would have a larger impact as it is used.

One way that you can probably achieve your requirement is to think inversely...

Create a new collection extenstion that has a reference to Attachment type. That way you can add any entties to your extension collection and attachment is just one of them..
