sapregsv.exe mshtml.tlb - error accessing the OLE registry

I am trying to install SAP GUI 7.20 on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. Browswer is IE8. I am logged on as the local administrator. After the files install, my instructions are to complete registry cleanup post installation. This step fails:

c:\program files (x86)\sap\sapsetup\setup\

sapregsv.exe mshtml.tlb

Error:

sapregsv: executed on Tue, 20.09.2011, 14:59:07

Attempting to register mshtml.tlb

Registration failed.

"Error accessing the OLE registry"

What patchlevel of 7.20 are you running?

Note that the errors starting in 1W or 2W are only warnings, not errors.

If you have errors in the log,please upload them. They will start with either 1E or 2E before the text.

Please try again with patch 8 which can be downloaded from the service marketplace.
