A DMS URL Issue

Experts,

I am here with providing the user requirement.

'Our program would just create a SAP record that holds the file path ( File path is a https:// URL)

We would want to test if the file can be accessed by clicking the URL in SAP.'

Based upon the above words will you please let us know , the actual steps needed to do in SAP?

Does creation of a data carrier will only suffie ?

Please explain in details

Hi,

Why are you creating DIR in SAP DMS to store the URLs only.

You can explore GOS for your requirements.

Hi,

For most of the SAP transactional objects, we have Generic object services (GOS) link at the top.

Through this, we can attach document or URL. You can use attaching URL fumctionality of GOS.

Against which object, you are trying to assign the URL.

Hi,

You can open URL if created in DIR.

Just you need to attach the URL ( No need to check in)
