Hi experts!

I was checking my solution manager system and I found this

Size Folder

3.9G /usr/sap/trans/EPS

4.8G /usr/sap/trans/log

124K /usr/sap/trans/buffer

584K /usr/sap/trans/cofiles

168K /usr/sap/trans/tmp

4.0K /usr/sap/trans/etc

80K /usr/sap/trans/sapnames

6.7G /usr/sap/trans/data

16K /usr/sap/trans/bin

16G /usr/sap/trans/

My hard disk is almost full and I want to know how to free some disk space

Which files should I delete? The log files? EPS files? trans files?

Thanks everybody

Hi,

You can remove the entries from EPS/in directory ( which mainly consists of ATT & PAT files ). If you wish to synchronize the Support package levels in the landscape later, then you have to download the patch again and uncar it which creates these 2 files. As for the Data file and Cofile is concerned, it is better to archive/ backup the old requests so that it may be useful in future for any reference concern. You can either move these old requests to different location or back it up and then remove the corresponding entries from the /usr/sap/trans - Data and Cofile directory.

"\user\sap\trans\eps\in" is the download directoy for SAP support package. It's possible to delete files in this directory.

"\user\sap\trans\log" is the directory of transport directoy. All detailed transport history and transport errors are recorded in this directory.

I would not recommend to delete it but archive it. To analyse customer transport issues, logs older than one years-two years in "\user\sap\trans\log" are often required.
