User Status

Hi PS Experts

We are using scenario where we create Contract and Project is generated automatically. We are using User Status as Credit in contract.

The business requirement is that until the contract is not released by Credit Dept, Project Manager should not be able to change the status of the Project from Create to Release. I have made the following settings as forbidden for status profiles transaction control

Acct. assignment order/project

Actual activity allocation

Change configuration data

Change structure

Complete

Confirm WBS

Create sales document

Lock

Partially confirm WBS

Partially release project

Release

Any thoughts how this can be achieved?

Hi,

Create the user status for project with your requirements (like forbid release) and make it the appear as soon as you create the project. Create an authorization object.and link it to your user satus. Use this authorization object in basis roles in such a way that only the people who are authorised to release the contract can remove this.
