Does BEX Report supports Multi Languages????

Dear Gurus,

Does Bex report supports Multi Languages???? I mean, I had developed a report for the client and client wants the report for their different locations globally. Is there any way in BI, so that we can provide the same report into Spanish, French....

Sure. It is supported.

Just a point to be mentioned here.

You have to maintain the laguage desired installed on ABAP side first.

You can chck this on RZ10 - Parameter: zcsa/installed_languages.

Ex: zcsa/installed_languages - ED

it means English and Deutsch

Well, open Query Designer. On Logon screen, select the language desired, like Spanish - ES.

After that, go to each keyfigure and characteristic of the query and on Properties -Description Field (Descripción on spanish),

put the spanish name of the object.

Save the query and test on both languages (original and spanish or french)...

This will solve your issue.

Hi,

System should be unicode compliant.

Also check which languages installed on your system. with transaction RSCPINST .

If noting is installed ask basis to carry out those specific language installation.

Hi,

Please refer the following notes which explains this,

823631 Character displayed incorrectly with RRMX in unicode

588480 Release restrictions for Unicode in SAP BW 3.x.

The SAP_CODEPAGE should be set to the proper language code.

1) Make sure you log on BEx Frontend with language FR;

2) Check in Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options ->

Do you have FR in both of your 'Regional options' AND

'Advanced' tab?

3) If above is set, and you still can not see the French characters

in the Analyzer, please try to add Windows environment variable

SAP_CODEPAGE = (the value for French) according to

note 823631.

Check whether all this helps, if not please also make sure that you apply latest Bex Frontend patches.
