Hi,
We have upgraded solution manager 7.0 to 7.1 and doing the service desk configuration. Now when you create a new ticket the SAP Component fieldis not mandatory, how can we make it mandatory?
Regards,
cherry
Enter in Web_UI, Go to you Incident/problem ecc...
Go to the wrench on the top of the screen (show configurable areas). The go to Sap collaboration, and entry in view configuration->SAP COMPONENT-> gold down alt and click and in the proprieties make it mandatory

Hello Cherry,
It really depends on how you are creating the ticket ? Via workcenter ? or via help --> Create support desk message ?
There is a old note that explains the logic, not sure how much it will help but the note number is 640532. It is definitely not valid for the 7.1 release. But worth taking a look at.

Amit

Hi Amit,
> Thanks for the reply, the notes doesn't seems to be relevent. Since we rae on 7.1, we have 3 options to create a ticket.

> 2.via Work Center
> 3.via SAP Webclient

Hi Cherry
I never said that the note would solve the problem. I just said that it might provide a idea on the code. Plus the question still remains :
what is the way in which you are trying to create the message ? Are you using all the 3 methods ?
regards
Amit
