Hi All,
My scenario is File(NFS)->XI-->File(FTP)
From sender side the file has been picked up
Mapping is processed successfully
I see the message as check flag in the MONI.
The file is not placed in FTP
But i have an error in RWB in Message Monitoring--->Aduit Log
Error:
Attempt to process file failed with java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
I have configured all FTP parameters correctly
I tried with Anonymous login and with username and password
Connection mode : Permanently
I did ping the server using Command prompt , Its fine
Connection is good
Firewall is there in between the servers.
Is the issue related to Basis guy?
What are questions need to be asked to basis guy to solve the error?
What parameters and measures need to be taken if Firewall exists?
Thanks
Sai
Hi ,
This is purely Firewall Isse, The receiver System's Firewall is rejecting the hand shake . To confirm this ask your BASIS team to do telnet from XI/PI to Receiver FTP MAchine . If they are not allowed to connect thru telnet then you should contact FTP Receiver owner to maintain your XI/PI Ip and Port in their Firewal Rule. If they succeeded in telnet then its fault with your Configuraiton of CC.

Hi All,
When i spoke to the basis guy to telnet the FTP machine
he said that it was not allowed.
and he told to use sh to connect.
i think sh in nothing but Shell script right?
as the server is running on UNIX,
Is it possible to connect to the FTP machine which is out of Firewall through shell script?
Whether the Shell script should be written by XI consultant or by the unix programmers?
Can anyone share me the process how to write a shell script
for my scenario in order to connect to FTP machine which is out of Firewall.
Thanks
Sai.
Please change the connection mode from Permanent to Per File Transfer and check.
Regards,
Indranil

hi,
try to open the ftp folder in a browser
give ftp://<ip>:<port> and see if it opens.

Talk to Basis. I still see some firewall issue. Check whether port is opened for doing FTP.
