Business Partner Contact Data - Phone and email mandatory

Hello Experts,

I am working in SRM 7.0.

I have a question regarding Business Partners configuration in SRM.

I noticed that in the "Contact Data" screen in the Business Partner creation or modification in the portal, the Telephone Number and Email address is required.

I would like to make it optional, for the supplier migration at least.

I suppose there is a way of customizing this, but I couldn't find it in the SPRO : I went to Cross-Application Components > SAP Business Partner > Business Partner > Basic Settings > Field Groupings > Configure Field Attributes per ... (BP Role, Client etc.) but couldn't find how to simply make these fields optional.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sofiane,

Ideally I don't think you can make the fields as optional, which are defined as mandatory by SAP.

Still if you wanted to avoid entries, you can try to default some dummy values using any change badi.

BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI will not have filter value for BP. However if you think in this direction, you may probably get some way out. Else wait for some more answers..
