I have recently installed sap on my Home machine.

the person who installed mentioned i must stop the following 3 processes, before shutting down the server. if i don't stop/ shut down the processes.

after teh server restart, i will have problems starting SAP mgmt console / sap logon.

Under sap mgmt console under process i see three processes.

1.) msg_server.exe

2.) disp+work.exe

3.) igswd.exe

Can any one please suggest how to again start the above three process, after a machine restart.

Once you open MMC on Left hand side you will SAP systems node, expand the nbode by clicking on + symbol after that you will see list of SAP systems like ECC etc.. simply do right click on it ans choose start all to start ..same for stopping the system also

Do let us know if still you have problems.

Hi,

You do not need to start the individual proceses for the particular SAP system.

In the SAP MMC, left hand pane shows the list of SAP systems installed on the server, Right click on the required system and 'Start' it. It would take care of bringing up all the related processes.

Check article http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/c0f6978e-f73c-2a10-269f-93e8f0a13394
