project closing issue

hi

Appreciate help to resolve a project closing issue. What is the best approach to resolve the message ' CANNOT CLOSE THE PROJECT AS STOCK STILL EXIST FOR WBS'. I have no open IPR or Open PO and no cost commitments. This is related to Material WBS and i wish to know the steps to diagnose the problem and apply solution.

Hi Iqbal,

Execute the transaction LX03 at Warehouse level and checking special stock box so that it will pull out all the stock available at warehouse level and Storage bin level.

If you notice project stock available then ask your WM guys to transfer the project stock to inventory stock (plant) so that your project stock will go off.

You can transfer stock items using TCode MB1B to transfer stock. Use Movement Type 411 to transfer from project stock to plant stock or movement type 415 to transfer between project stocks.

Hi,

Stock existence for the WBS indicates there are still come costs associated with the project object which need to be settled. As mentioned in the earlier post check the stock status and transfer the existing stock from the WBS using transfer posting. You may need the help of your MM consultant here. Once you do that try closing the project. System should allow you to close it.

please run report MBBS and check any project stock is available, if the stock is available then do a goods issue / consume to project these stocks or do a transfer posting then try again to close the project...
