Coding mask length restriction at project def. level

Hi All,

We were trying to restrict the length of PD to 9 charecters (eg. xxx.xx.00) we tried different ways in validation but couldn't achieve this. need some help on finding the right logic to achieve (PD length = 9 chars). also, tried expert mode on validations but still no luck.. even took some help from our ABAPer but couldn't find any relevant exits..

What logic have you used in your coding mask (I believe your requirement can be handled directly via coding masks OPSJ)? SAP note 536471 provides further information on coding masks.

thanks for the inputs Ammar, however the notes didn't have a solution to handle it through validations and we had to get our ABAPer to fix it..
