Dear Friends

I am trying to access the t-code solman_workcenter (EHP1 SP-18) in result getting a message saying 'You are not assigned to a work center'. However the role SAP_SMWORK_BASIC is already assign to my usrer account. Some body has advised to assign SAP_SMWORK* roles to user account is it necessary ?

Please advise further.

Regards

Nilanchal

Hello,

As is being explained to you, you need SAP_SMWORK_BASIC role...this allows navigation.

You that assign the specific SAP_SMWORK_* role you require for your uses.

Check in PFCG that you have performed a user comparison (green traffic light)

Because there is assigning the role, and then there is activating the assigned role.

It sounds like you have assigned the role, but not activated it in PFCG.

You can tell this quickly as the user comparision traffic light will not be green.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Paul

Thanks to you all.

After applying SAP_SMWORK* it works fine.

Thanks again

Hi Nilanchal,

Please check what Work center services are activated for you Solman system.

You can check it via SPRO--> SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide --> SAP Solution Manager --> Configuration --> Senario specific settings --> Cross - Senario settings --> work center -->

1. Activate Solution Manager services - Program Technical name: SM_WORK_CENTER

2. Assign work center roles to users -

You can also refer SAP note 834534 for details about roles as per services to be assigned.

Thanks,

Rupali

Hi

Actually based upon the functionality you need to assign the SMWORK* role in addition to basic workcenter role

for e.g if you are using incident management then you need to have

basic role + incident management workcenter role

therefore check the security guide on market place as below

https://websmp109.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000075728&_OBJECT=01100035870000718787...

based upon your requirement assign to user

hope this re- solves ur issue

Hi

SAP_ALL won't help you that is why you are getting the error because SAP workcenter in solution manager has requirement i have mentioned you need to get those roles.

as I have mentioned ealier you need to get min 2 roles for one functionality

1 is the basic role and 2nd one is the role based upon your requirement ..like e.g i have given earlier

hope it clarifies your doubt
