Why do I not have the option to change certain entries in the Config Tool like I used to with 7.0?
For example, giving a custom value for entries like authschemes.xml, enaling sap* are all grayed out (the Set Custom Value button).
Why is that?

Hi,
You have to get into the "Switch to Configuration editor mode" to change properties.
This is because of the concept of configuration templates introduced Netweaver CE onwards.
