I have 4 users. Two users are able to log into Webi Rich Client with no issues using Tier 2 without a DSN on their system. This is confirmed by no defined DSN under the name defined in the universe. The bottom right corner shows connected and not connected (http) in Webi.
When running a report the user can retrieve data and they can access the universe and test the connection successfully.
Other users can log into Webi Rich Client but get the error listed in the subject. When testing the connection they get the same error in designer.
I have tried to understand the differences between their systems; same operating system, same version of Bus Obj, same patch levels, same network.
Does anyone have any ideas.
I have been playing with the idea that it is somehow accessing the data source through javabeans? or is this a corba issue.
I have been on this for three days and I am just exhausted.

Try with below steps. one more thing have you created the DSN on server?
Recreate a new System DSN specifying the same ODBC connection.
Change the connection in designer to use the new ODBC connection.
Save and export the universe.
Create a Web Intelligence report. It works fine.
