Material creates double inspection lot for one batch

Hi all,

In the material master, 04 inspection type is set up. and in the Lot for MatDocItem "X" is selcted. i.e. an inspection lot per purchasing order item or order item and batch.

So as per the master set up, system should create only one lot for a batch even if multiple confirmations are carried out.

But system is generating 2 lots if the confirmation is done twice.

The same setting is working properly for other material.

Can you please help as what could be the issue.

It may be one of the following reason

The batch is changed for materials subject to batch management,

A previously created inspection lot has already been completely credited from the stock,

Different special stocks are being posted,

A previously created inspection lot has been canceled.

and the one I suspect more is

Goods receipts are posted to different plants or storage locations,

check whether storage locations are same or different.

Yes the previous inspection lot is completed.

But when i tried the same scenario with the other material then it directly posted the stock in Unrestricted and not created another lot i.e. i have completed the first inspection lot (Usage decision is done) and then i confirmed some more quantity. But this time the confirmed quantity was directly posted to unrestricted.
