BB Simulator with Sybase Mobile SALES no connection to SUP

Hello,

I run a blackberry simulator with MDS and try to connect to SUP 1.5.5

The application starts and get stuck in the step : "Awaiting Connection to Server"

the Sybase control center shows me that the device is offline.

Connection to network is fine, I can call web pages with the blackberry simulator browser.

The SUP and the connected CRM are also ok, since it works with a iPhone.

Do you have an idea what goes wrong ?

Regards,

Ralf

Hi Ralf,

I am also facing the same issue. I have reported to Sybase.

However, quick check from your end. Have you ensured that MAS_CUSTOMIZATION, MAS_AUTH_CUST, USER_DETAILS, USER_AUTHORIZATION_DETAILS are sent to SUP from DOE.

I was getting this problem and fixed it yesterday. However, when I open the application it hangs while gathering data.

Hi Viju,

the user must be ok ..as I wrote it works with the IPhone but not with the BB simulator.

I use the same user for both.

Please let ne know if you hear something from Sybase.

Hi

How can you use the same user for both Blackberry Device and a iPhone device at the same time ? .. I guess that may be the problem...

Thanks

Pradeep

Hi Pradeep,

Same user can be used from multiple devices. Only thing is one user can login from one device. If another user wants to use, he/she should unsubscribe and login with different user.

Hi Ralf,

I tried logging to the link, but it is not allowing me. Only SAP/Sybase users are allowed.

Can you me kind enough to post the solution ? I am facing the same issue on BlackBerry simulator.

Viju

here we go :

1. Get the IP address from the PC where the simulator runs.

2. Logon to the CCMS of your SUP

3. Go to Servers --> Server Configuration --> Tab Messaging --> u201CBlackberry Push Configurationu201D and add a new user. Enter the user name and the URL : http://<ip-address>:8080, Type = BES

Hi Ralf,

This is for Auto - Push notification to the devices.

I have configured this in the SCC. As I am running the simulator on the SUP server, SUP itself has taken the neccessary credentials:

Name: MDS

Url: http://localhost:8080

User and Password: BLANK

Type: BES.
