Hi PS guys,

I have created variant & added one project in background job in CJ9F.

In SM37 it said job was cancelled

When I check job log it said

You have not selected a target object u2018message class KPT3u201D. When I double click this line it said

You have not selected a target object

Message no. KPT3018

Diagnosis

No target objects could be selected for the specified selection criteria.

System Response

Processing is terminated.

Procedure

Check your entries and restart the program.

Hi,

One case where i could get this message is if the project you have used in the variant doesnot exist in the system. Even then it was an information message and when you click enter through it (in foreground) it ulitmately will tell you that no records found to copy. So please check the project in you variant and use the appropriate one.

Hi,

Are you specifying any target version in CJ9F? If yes and you are still getting an error refer the Note 1107693 - RKPT4CJ9B: Processing terminates.

Try to test run the variant without the background job and see if this error is reported then. Based on the system response it seems no object is getting selected. A possible reason could be because of incorrect controlling area being selected or perhaps some flaw in the variant itself.

Please check and revert back.
