Producing output only once

We are sending an output type (ZOTP - transportation document) via FAX to a 3rd party. The output comes from our order confirmation....everytime an order is saved, it generates this output. We only want the output to happen upon CREATION, not on change. Can anyone tell me where/what settings are to be set.

We WERE doing this same output type to PRINT internally and it only happened once so we are a bit lost as to why it would happen multiple times now that we've gone to faxing to a 3rd party.

In t.code V/30, for the output type, uncheck the box Multiple issuing and test again.

Hi Matthew,

Attach a routine to your output access to check based on sy-tcode eq VT01 or something like that..and set the sy-subrc as 0 only for creation tcode.
